Biography

With her primary office located in Allen, Texas, Attorney Amin represents clients in both Texas and New York, where she spent more than a decade serving individuals and families with their legal needs. Ms. Amin is an expert in Family and Divorce Law. Most Notably, Ms. Amin has years of litigation experience in the Texas District Courts as well as the New York State Family and Supreme Court. Ms. Amin has participated in and completed hundreds of trials, advocating zealously and relentlessly for her clients. Ms. Amin also has extensive experience litigating cases against ACS, the Child Welfare Agency of New York.

More specifically, Ms. Amin has handled complex financial divorces, paternity matters, custody battles, child support cases, has assisted clients obtain and defend against protective orders. Ms. Amin has assisted clients regain custody of their children, ensured parents without custody have fair and regular access to their children, and has made sure clients get what they are entitled to in financially complex divorce matters. Ms. Amin has also represented children in custody and family offense matters in New York State. She is well-versed in the rights of children in litigation and fights hard to ensure that those rights are protected.

Prior work experience:

Ms. Amin's past work experience includes working for New York Legal Assistance Group where she represented individuals in divorce, child support, custody, family offense and paternity proceedings.

Prior to that, Ms. Amin worked for the Administration for Children Services in their Family Court legal Services department representing the agency in child abuse and neglect proceedings.

Ms. Amin also worked as a Compliance Attorney for the Garden City Group, Inc., where she ensured compliance with a multi-district litigation Court Order governing the administration of a $20 billion settlement compensation fund created in response to the 2010 Deepwater Horizon British Petroleum oil spill.
